How is it made?
Your pet’s orthosis or prosthesis starts with either a fiberglass impression or a scan of the affected limb. Next, computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) are utilized in our state-of-the-art manufacturing centers to create the custom device.
What can I expect?
Your veterinarian makes a diagnosis and submits a referral to Pawsthetics.
Your pet is evaluated by Pawsthetics at your veterinarian’s clinic or hospital.
During the evaluation, your pet’s affected limb is casted or scanned by Pawsthetics to create an exact replica for device fabrication.
The custom device is fabricated and shipped to Pawsthetics.
Fitting and delivery is scheduled at your veterinarian’s clinic or hospital.
Your pet’s incremental wear schedule, expectations for follow-up and future provisions for adjustments will be outlined.
You will have access to communicate with Pawsthetics via the Digitail Pet Parent application for your phone.
